I can’t wait to get to know you better! We’ll do a quick consultation at the beginning of your session, and nail down your hopes and dreams for the shots you’ll take away. Then we’ll go through the clothes that you’ve brought, and make a game plan for the best way to work through your looks. We have Spotify and the entire internet at our disposal for some tunes if you’d like to make a playlist, otherwise I have a slew of playlists already curated for different looks and vibes!

As an actor myself, I know the amount of thought and planning that goes into choosing a headshot photographer. I’ve been working as a performer onstage for the past ten years, and have experience in front of the camera, and tons more behind the scenes - and I would LOVE to be a part of your journey! And while my husband is the resident director in our house, I have a lot of experience directing actors in the studio. sessions. And don’t worry, I will make a fool of myself MUCH sooner than I will make a fool of you in order to get the perfect shot! My goal for your session is that you walk away feeling ready to tackle your next audition without a doubt that your headshot represents YOU.

Branding sessions are a fun way to get out of your shell a little bit, and share a new side of yourself with the world! Do you have a hidden talent nobody has seen before? Are you and your pet a package deal? Are you also an instrumentalist, and want people to know about your flugelhorn expertise? My husband is actually a fantastic juggler, and I’m still pretty adept at stacking the cups I purchased in grade school! Let’s brainstorm together and come up with a plan for your next shoot!

I have a little more information that I will send to you once you decide to book with me, but in the meantime here are some frequently asked questions!

What should I do before our shoot? There are a lot of good things to do in preparation for your headshot session! Rest, hydrate, stay on top of your skin care routine! I will email you a headshot guide detailing more specific instructions about what should be brought with you to your session, and I am available for any questions you might have after reading the guide!

What clothes should I wear/bring?  I break down some general looks in my headshot guide, but there are truly no longer any rules about what NOT to wear for your headshot. Anything is fair game: stripes, florals, plaids, bright colors, fun patterns - anything! As long as it represents a clear message of what you bring to the table.

Can I bring someone to my headshot session? The short answer here is no, unless you are a minor being accompanied by an adult. We do however have a seating area outside of the studio that can accommodate two additional people if needed, and if discussed prior to the session.

Do you work with children? I LOVE working with children! I do not have a minimum age that I work with, though the youngest I’ve worked with in the past for on-camera headshots was three years old. That being said I do ask that all children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult.

Kids are great to work with because they’re usually unencumbered by the IDEA of headshots. Adults usually have a sense of what they’re going for, and try to create a moment on camera (I’m completely guilty of this myself), whereas kids typically just play along with whatever make-believe character I give them in the moment.

What happens after our shoot? I will deliver your gallery to you within a week following your session. Once you tell me which images you would like edited, I will return them to you within two weeks. Expedited edits are available at additional cost.

Do you deliver every image shot? During an hour long session we will shoot anywhere between 2k-4k images. I personally go through our session and take out any that are slightly out of focus or were taken halfway through a sneeze, and whittle everything down to a more manageable gallery for you to look through. You will receive anywhere between 200 and 300 photo proofs in a high-res gallery from which to choose your edits!

Do you book mini sessions? I offer mini sessions for groups, schools, and universities. Group booking is available upon request.
